I didn't want to use a TON of flowers because they can get really expensive, really fast, so I also found another way to decorate the reception space that will look fabulous for pretty cheap! (but I'm getting ahead of myself...)
My bouquet, (you know, the one I OWN!!!) is a silk bouquet I bought off of Etsy. I had it custom made by Kate Said Yes (shop here) and she did a FABULOUS job! Now, I don't have to pay for my bouquet twice (bridal pics & wedding) and I get to keep it forever! Here are the pictures of my bouquet! (All pictures for Kate at Kate Said Yes, linked above)
It is white roses with some sparkle and a touch of white feathers! And in person, it is even more beautiful than online! I am soooo happy with how it turned out (and for cheaper than I was quoted for a real bouquet!!!)
The bridesmaids bouquets will be real flowers and will be based on this inspiration (with much less feathers)
The moms/grandmas will all have wrist corsages with white roses and all of the boutonnieres will be white roses.
The alter arrangements are the only other thing I am actually using real flowers for, they will be based on an arrangement I saw at my home parish last year:
Sorry for the grainy picture, I took it with my phone
To help decorate the reception site, I recently bought a bunch of ostrich feathers on ebay!! (Pretty cheap!) I will be using these to create tall arrangements for the guestbook table, cake table, etc. Kinda like this:
I'm really excited! I should have enough feathers to make four or five of those!
Everything's starting to come together!!! I'm so excited!!!
