Things you need:
- Hot Glue Gun
- 2 Types of Fabric
- Felt
- Scissors
- 2 cups of different sizes (one about 3" Diameter & one about 1" diameter)
- Jewel/Button
- Hair Clip/Pin
Instructions:
Using the cups, trace 6 large circles on one of the fabrics, and 6 small circles on the other fabric
These were the cups I used
Yes, these are on the same fabric, but you get the picture
Cut those out
12 Fabric Circles
Take one circle and fold it in half like this:
Then, fold in one corner so a third of the semi-circle is folded over, like so:
Fold the opposite third in the opposite direction, so it looks like this:
Take your hot glue gun and put one little dot in the fold at the bottom of each side
Hot Glue Tip: To squeeze the bottom together, place the fabric petal between two pieces of wax paper. It will save your hands from a lot of hot glue burns!
Repeat for all 12 circles
Cut 2 of the small size circles out of the felt
Tracing!
The first one
3 Petals
With all 6 petals
Then, do the same thing with the small petals on top of the big ones, I like to make them so that the small petals overlap the small space between the big petals
With all the small petals!
Finally, add a jewel/button in the middle to cover up the connection point/give it that finished look
Now, you have a choice, you can add a pin to the back to make it a broach, attach it to a headband, put a hair clip on it, or whatever you want to do with it! I chose to make it a hair clip to I will finish the instructions for that.
Take your hair clip and put the second felt circle in the clip. Put a line of hot glue across the top of the clip and lay it on the hair flower so that the pieces of felt are against each other. Just one line of glue is needed to attach it to both sides since it has that big hole in the middle.
And you're done! You can make so many different styles depending on the fabric and center item you choose!
